Paros Ferries

Paros is one of the best-connected islands in the Cyclades, with frequent ferries from Piraeus and short crossings to Naxos, Mykonos, Santorini and Ios.

The port: Parikia

Paros's main ferry port is at Parikia, the island's capital town on the west coast. It is a comfortable port with a clear waterfront — you walk straight off the ferry into the town's café-lined streets. Most scheduled ferries use Parikia; some services stop at Naoussa on the north coast as well.

Central Cyclades hub

Paros sits almost at the geographical centre of the Cyclades, which gives it exceptional connections. From Parikia you can reach Piraeus (Athens) in about 3 hours by fast ferry, and Naxos in as little as 30 minutes. Mykonos, Santorini and Ios are all within a few hours, making Paros the most versatile base for island-hopping.

Routes and operators

Blue Star Ferries and SeaJets are the main operators on the Athens–Paros route. SeaJets and Fast Ferries run inter-island routes to Mykonos and Naxos. In summer there are multiple crossings per day on most routes; winter services reduce significantly.

Practical tips

Book ahead for the Athens service in July and August — popular sailings and car spaces fill quickly. For inter-island hops to nearby islands like Naxos or Ios, same-day booking is often possible outside peak season. The port area has cafés, a ticket booth, and luggage storage nearby.
