Where it leaves from

Ferries depart from Naxos Town (Chora), the island's main harbour backed by the iconic marble Portara. The crossing takes you to Parikia, Paros's whitewashed capital on the island's west coast. Both ports are compact and walkable from the quay, making this one of the more straightforward island-to-island transfers in Greece.

A very short crossing

The Naxos–Paros route is among the shortest in the Cyclades — even the conventional ferry takes only about an hour, and high-speed catamarans cover it in 30 to 45 minutes. Frequency is high in peak summer, with multiple crossings per day, which means you can travel more spontaneously on this leg than on longer routes. It is often included as a segment on longer Piraeus–Cyclades ferry services rather than a standalone sailing, so confirm your boat stops at both ports.

Operators

Blue Star Ferries provides the main conventional car-carrying service, which often runs as part of a longer itinerary linking Piraeus, Paros and Naxos in a single sailing. SeaJets and other catamaran operators offer faster connections throughout the high season. Both options are generally reliable; book ahead in July and August if you want a guaranteed seat, especially on a specific service.

Central Cyclades connections

Together, Naxos and Paros form the central core of Cyclades island-hopping. From either island you can continue to Santorini (south), Mykonos (north), Ios, Amorgos (east) or directly back to Piraeus. The short hop between the two makes it easy to use one as a quieter base while day-tripping or overnighting on the other.
