Valencia Ferry Port

Valencia is the closest major mainland port to Ibiza, offering regular crossings to the Balearic Islands — Ibiza, Mallorca and Menorca — by both fast and overnight ferry.

The port

Valencia's ferry terminal — the Estació Marítima — sits in the Port of Valencia, just south of the city's America's Cup marina. The port is modern and well-equipped, with check-in facilities, a café and a parking area for vehicles waiting to embark.

Balearic routes

Valencia is the primary mainland port for ferries to Ibiza, and also serves Mallorca (Palma) and Menorca (Maó). Its proximity to Ibiza makes it competitive with Barcelona: daytime fast-ferry options can cross in roughly 5 to 7 hours, while overnight conventional services take around 7 hours. The Mallorca crossing is longer at approximately 8 hours overnight.

Operators

Baleària and Trasmediterránea share most of the traffic on these routes. Baleària in particular runs a dense summer timetable and has a strong presence on the Dénia–Ibiza corridor as well, so combining the two ports is an option if you are flexible on departure point.

Planning tips

Valencia's daytime services to Ibiza make it an attractive option for travellers who want to arrive in daylight. Book vehicle space early for July and August sailings, as car decks sell out well before passenger cabins. Foot passengers have more flexibility outside peak weeks.
